Mrs. Melissa Waters

 Melissa, a dedicated nurse for over a decade, has served in the field of healthcare with a focus on oncology and infusion care for the past nine years. Raised in Wyoming, Melissa's upbringing instilled in her a strong work ethic and a deep sense of community. Throughout her career, Melissa has provided compassionate care to countless patients battling cancer, offering not only medical expertise but also emotional support to both patients and their families during challenging times. Driven by a passion for promoting wellness and preventative medicine, Melissa has embarked on a new adventure, as a school nurse. Outside of her professional life, Melissa finds joy and fulfillment in her roles as a wife and mother of five children. When she's not busy caring for others, Melissa can be found on the family ranch. She also enjoys traveling with her husband and children, exploring new destinations and creating memories together. As Melissa continues to embark on her journey as a nurse and wellness advocate, her dedication to serving others and her commitment to promoting health remain unwavering. Melissa hopes to continue to make a positive impact on the lives of those around her and is excited to be a part of Moorcroft Secondary team!

Medication Administration at School:

The medication administration authorization form must be completed fully in order for the school to administer any medication. A new form must be completed at the beginning of every school year, for each medication and each time there is a change in dosage or time of administration of medication. An adult must bring in any form of medication to the school nurse or the school office, along with the form below. All prescription medications must be in the container given to you by the pharmacist or prescriber, and non-prescription medication must be in the original container with the label intact.
